What to Expect:

Get suited up and step into the fascinating world of the honeybee. We’ll take you inside a live hive buzzing with over 50,000 bees, showing you how the colony works together, how they make honey, and even help you spot the queen. You’ll also learn how to handle a smoker – just like a real beekeeper! This experience is not just about observing; it’s about truly immersing yourself in the magic of beekeeping.

You’ll create lasting memories, snap some incredible photos, and best of all, take home a jar of pure Yorkshire Herd & Hive honey as a sweet souvenir. Plus, you’ll receive a 10% discount voucher for the Canalside Café to round off your day perfectly.

This experience involves working closely with live bees. While we take every precaution to minimize the risk of stings, we cannot guarantee that you won’t be stung. If you have a severe allergy to bee stings, we strongly advise against booking. All participants must sign a waiver before taking part.

Our apiary is located in a beautiful rural setting. Be prepared to walk a short distance over open fields to reach it.

Terms & Conditions – No Exceptions

• Duration: 90-minute experience.

• Cost: £75 per person.

• Non-Refundable: The full £75 fee is strictly non-refundable under any circumstances

• Weather Dependent: If the experience is cancelled due to weather, we will reschedule

  • We may cancel if it is too cold, too wet, or too windy, as these conditions are not suitable for the bees.

• Age Restrictions: Min age of 12yrs old, Under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

• Group Size: You may be placed in a group with up to 6 participants.
