Farming has been Ollie’s way of life since he could walk! Born and raised on his family's farm in Silsden. He started to grow his own flock of sheep in 2014 and he has been growing ir ever since! He now breeds pedigree Texel tups, which get used all over the country.

Libby and Ollie met in 2019. Libby moved to the farm in 2021 and she has never looked back! They both shared a vision and love for farming. Together they care for their livestock on Silsden Moor, building a life rooted in hard work and dedication.
Libby & Ollie recently picked up a lot of media attention for being a young couple who live off-grid in their static caravan on the farm. Over 10 national newspapers wanted to tell their story! There are not many 20 something year olds living without WiFi or television!
Herd & Hive began with Libby and Ollie’s shared passion for farming and craftsmanship. Libby's mum and dad (Bev & Matt) joined the business in 2024 and they now have 150 hives, with apiaries all over Yorkshire.
In January 2025, they built a custom building to run their business from. This was a huge milestone for the family business as two years ago, they were jarring honey on their kitchen table. It took long days, late nights and a lot of determination but their hard work paid off!
Libby's brother Brad recently joined Herd & Hive, making it a true family business, with the whole family working together to bring products to life. Brad has always been around to lend a hand but now he is on board officially!
Herd & Hive has grown from strength to strength! Not only are their products stocked in many local shops, they also attend regular Yorkshire markets. You are never far from their delicious honey or their fabulous soap!
